Fitsperation Where it all comes from

Today it occurred to me that there are a great deal of people (especially) women out there that are unhappy with their bodies.  Me being one of those people, I decided to take it upon myself to make some changes and share the things I have been learning about myself and my body with others in hopes that others can make simple changes too.

My main goal in creating this blog is to recognize that women especially in demanding careers and roles (such as parenting, marriage, etc.) need to make themselves a priority and help them improve their lives.

My inspiration for this blog is my mom.  :)  My mom is absolutely amazing and we are taking a healthy journey together.  I am writing this because I am inspired to educate women just like her that it is OKAY to make time for yourself.  Even being a parent and a wife and having a career, you only have 1 life on this Earth and you have to make the most of it.  Okay I know you can argue, well having this second brownie will help me make the most of my life...will it REALLY????   We all fall off the wagon, heck I DID!  And that's OKAY.  The focus is, not necessarily the weight, but how you feel about yourself and your HEALTH.

All of these things are based on your height, your family history, your frame.  You are not made from a cookie cutter...did ya notice the title of my blog???  "Bottom up"?  Get it?  Get it?  ;)  I got a big booty! I spent most of my life hating it and trying (and failing) to get rid of it.  Ain't gonna happen.  Get over it and move on.  I have now in my (late) twenties, begun to embrace my body, for what it is, not what others think if SHOULD be.

I hope that anyone reading this blog can share their thoughts and experiences as well and we can all work together to create healthier and happier families and communities.

  1. I'm so excited to read what you have to say about this! I love the way you put things and your views always give me better perspective. Plus this will inspire me to actually start posting more of my fitness thoughts/ideas. I keep drafting things but never post them. One thing is for sure... it is a lifestyle. We can all be healthier together & have fun!! <3 you
